Where we work
Knorr-Bremse Global Care operates worldwide, especially in countries, where the Knorr-Bremse Group is located. To work and manage the projects locally, Knorr-Bremse Global Care is divided into three regional organizations: Knorr-Bremse Global Care North America Inc., Knorr-Bremse Global Care Asia Pacific Ltd. and the association Knorr-Bremse Global Care e. V. in Munich.
Knorr-Bremse Global Care focus it's project funding primarily on countries in which Knorr-Bremse sites are located.
In addition, Knorr-Bremse Global Care e. V. supports development projects in ten other countries with which it has a long-standing connection (Cambodia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Myanmar, Peru, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Ukraine).

Regional responsibility
Knorr-Bremse Global Care prefers to be active in countries where the company has sites in order to maintain as direct contact as possible with the projects it supports, to promote employees' awareness of social commitment and to motivate them to become active themselves.
In our opinion, one thing is clear: Those who know a country's culture, speak the language and are familiar with local needs and peculiarities are able in the long term to work more effectively and reach people on the spot. Hence, the regional approach of Knorr-Bremse Global Care reflects the structure of the Knorr-Bremse Group.
In spite of the autonomy enjoyed by the subunits, they remain part of the Knorr-Bremse Global Care umbrella organization, with a joint strategy, common rules, consolidated reporting and accounting and a jointly agreed mission and vision statement.
Knorr-Bremse Global Care e. V. is responsible for projects in Brazil, South Africa and all European countries where there are Knorr-Bremse sites. In addition, the organization supports projects in ten further developing countries (Cambodia, Colombia, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Myanmar, Peru, Sri Lanka, Tanzania and Ukraine).
