Project Selection Criteria

Help where it's needed

Before Knorr-Bremse Global Care decides to support a project, the underlying concept is subjected to close scrutiny to see whether it fulfills our central goal of promoting the independence and self-determination of disadvantaged people. Only this type of support can result in far-reaching structural change, open up new prospects for the people concerned, and have a lasting impact on their lives.

In line with this objective, Knorr-Bremse Global Care does not work with individuals who require support.

A further important selection criterion is that there must be an independent source of long-term funding available for the project. Knorr-Bremse Global Care does not cover running costs in order to avoid creating dependency for those involved in the project.

In order to ensure the best possible use is made of the funding available, the organization bases its selection of projects on the following criteria:
